little Gene
this picture is taken back in 1972 if I remember correctly. Gene starred in the series B*witched.
Ofcourse this is far before I ever saw the face of the earth, but still. As an admirer, this picture
cannot be ignored. Gene was a very artistic man. This is proof.

the absolute best band on earth
I would have given anything to see him perform just once. Perhaps 'In a New World of Time'.
That'll be the day I'm in heaven. I am SO looking forward to seeing Gene play his B3 and King
David rocking on his harp. It'll please the Lord and I'll be a willing audience.

Gene
Gene in concert as one of the brilliantly Lost Dogs. Mike wrote in an e-mail to the 77s mailinglist
that ever since he heard about Gene passing away, he's been a very Lost Dog. All I can do is nod
and agree with him. I'm a very lost dog.

Cowboy Billy Gene
I hate countrymusic, but I love good music. The Lost Dogs are Terry (Daniel Amos), Mike
(the Seventy Sevens), Derri (the Choir) and Gene.

Another Gene-thing: The Swirling Eddies
Gene is the far guy all the way on the right. He's playing the B3 I think. As Swirling Eddie he's better
known as Prickly Disco. I love the song him and Terri sang as an ode to Billy Graham. At first I
thought it was another joke, but he sounds too sincere for it to be a joke.

It has been my priviledge to mail with Gene a few times last year. He wasn't too talkative but we did have some
conversations that I treasure now that he's no longer with us. Gene, perhaps then, you can give me that extra bit of
comment on that one poem of mine you promised.

I'll see you in my window in the fields and the forgotten
When I listen to 'Window', a song Gene performed at the Alternative Worship album, chills run down my spine.
There is nothing like that song. No pianoman will ever play a piano as beautifully as Gene played on that song.
And his voice, his voice is pure golden. I am grateful that he leaves us many beautiful songs. He will absolutely
never be forgotten!

lookin' good
Just a nice picture of the man I admired. Don't know the story behind it. So I won't bore you with any possibilities.
With all my thanks to the Daniel Amos homepage for the pictures and thanks to Jeremy Ladan for the last picture and Abbi for her incredible Adam Again homepage which has allowed me to be updated on the maestro's music at all times! Lastly thanks to Gerwin for introducing me to Adam Again..
